Last weekend my friends and I went to the movies to catch a show of the movie Shoot 'Em Up which started playing last Wednesday in Shatti Plaza cinema. Some of the people who watched the movie before me said that there were so many exaggerating scenes in the movie which made it look like an Indian movie or so, as they like to call it. But anyhow, my friends and I decided to watch it ourselves and see how it is.
I entered the movie expecting to watch some good action scenes because this movie is supposed to be an action movie. So, I expected something good. And no, I was neither disappointed nor let down. I really liked the movie and think it's a very good one, even though there are some scenes which are exaggerating a lot, but oh well, this is an action movie after all! Even if what you're watching cannot be real, by any chance, those scenes are made like this so you can enjoy the action in the movie!
The movie is starring Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci. I really liked the performance of both Clive Owen & Paul Giamatti. I've only seen one work of Paul Giamatti which is Big Mamma's House 1, and this is the second one, but I really loved his performance. Clive Owen's performance was even better and greater and I love the way he acts. Also it was funny how he crunched a carrot every now and then during the movie, lol. So many acts of Clive Owen were funny & really sarcastic.
Basically the movie is about Clive Owen saving a baby whose mother died in the beginning of the movie. Paul Giamatti and his men were following the woman and they wanted to kill her. She was then pregnant and her baby was still not delivered. While Clive Owen was trying to save her, the woman had to give birth and Owen's job became harder; to save both the woman and her baby, not only the woman. After being followed by Giamatti's men, the woman died and Owen is now only supposed to save the baby. But for taking care of the baby, he needed a woman's support. So he asked for Monica Bellucci's support in taking care of the child. Giamatti wanted the baby dead, for a reason or another, so the rest of the movie is about Owen saving the baby & Giamatti working so hard to kill him but fails to do so because of the brilliance of Owen. In the movie Owen killed over 200 men or so and that was one of the exaggerating things, but it was really fun.
Overall, this is a pretty nice action movie. I really enjoyed watching it and I suppose also my friends enjoyed it. If you have not watched it yet & you like action movies, then I recommend you to watch this one, especially that these days there is nothing good at the movies other than this movie. But on Wednesday there is a good movie coming, which is 3:10 days to Yuma. One which I'm looking forward to watching.

rekoo: It's not one of the best movies of 2007 nor one of my favorite movies, but it's really good! Worth watching y3ni, not that bad!
Amjad, don't say 'not that bad!' if you gave it 4/5. Though myself I rated it the same. It was entertaining!!
Just to clear something, we don't say action movie, because there is nothing serious about the action in this movie. We call it crazy action!
People should learn before going to any movie, what sort of movie is it. I can see many having great expectations, then they simply get disappointed!
nightface: I gave it 4/5 because I think it's really good as I've been mentioning in the review. When I said not "that" bad in the comment above, I was referring to rekoo personally telling him that the movie is not as bas as he thinks it is, and it's rather worth watching!
In the review itself, I never mentioned that my overview on the movie is that it's "not that bad". I was rather saying that it's a good movie, hence the rate (4/5).
