I was extremely shocked when I heard about the death of Ali Mehdi - also known as Sleepless in Muscat - from the Oman Community Blog. This is indeed sad news and I really don't know what to say...
I have worked with Sleepless in Muscat on both the Gonu Relief Blog and the Oman Community Blog. Moreover, I have had the chance to meet him in person a couple of times last summer. According to Muscati, Ali was lately admitted to hospital into the intensive care where he remained till his death. Ali passed away at a very early age (29 years old) and as far as I know, he's the only male among his siblings. My deepest condolences to Ali's family. May his soul rest in peace and may Allah grant him heaven...

Oh god, really? I am so sorry to hear this.
I never met the guy in person but have followed his Blog posts. He was a very bright and intelligent person.
