Have I mentioned that I don't like slide phones?
The Google phone (T-Mobile G1) is going to be available in October for T-Mobile users. Later in November it will be available in the UK and by 2009 Q1 throughout Europe. It's going to sell for $179 only, with a two-years T-Mobile contract of course.
The iPhone has got a new competitor.

Great features supported with Google's mobile platform Android. But, I don't like the design.
I am waiting for another attempt by HTC.
It's not a Google Phone
What is it then ?
it is the google android phone!
It's a T-Mobile phone. They were solely responsible for the design and manufacturing of the phone.
The part where Google comes in is that , along with many partners, they've developed and funded the Android platform, a linux based mobile operating system that the G1 uses.
In the end, only the current platform and very little embedded applications are "developed by google". Everything else in the Android experience is owned by me, you, and everyone else who is benefiting or can access and work on the SDK. The beauty of open source.
I hope that clears up a few things.
It actually does ...
i feel that in terms of design, it's hard to top apple. the ipod for example is still the number 1 mp3 player. do you think this will outsell the iphone?
hi amjad
it is nice to find Sudanese blogs i was looking for this community for some time hope to meet other Sudanese blogger soon, about Google, really is Google releasing this cellphone i expected it to be better then this with all the buzz about it, i guess the operating system would be great but the look and the feel is not that great, the design is for sure not that great
You ever notice how every new phone these days is touted to be the next i phone killer?
